Style of dance which you dance doesn`t really matter!!!! Music is written and made by the same laws in every style of dance. It is universal. Even more, today the education system of DMS is the thing that cannot damage your style, as it is changing your appreciation of music, teaching you to work with the rhythm, but dance style is preserved. It is still only your style and DMS even will help you to make it more individual.
Project DMS is directed to studying of music, its structure, theoretical laws, and practical knowledge, with their subsequent application in dance. Plastic realization. Thanking this knowledge, it now became possible to make the dance analysis in whole. Looking at the dancer, we can with full confidence, and the main thing - structurally and particularly, tell, what work should be made by him to improve his skills, to increase his level of musicality and the main thing -how to achieve it…Every of us were given such advices as: «relax, simply dance, show as you feel it and just listen to music, etc.» We listen to authoritative judges, we nod with agreement, we recognize their true. And then we come back in a dance studio, we stand infront of the
mirror and we think: «Ok. What shall I do now?.»
Quiet. Don`t be panic. Judges don't lie. Just sometimes, looking on, "not a very high level of dance" in some countries,- they don't want to go into detailed analysis, though they can perfectly know musical laws. If they didn't study them and didn't work with them, -so then, they simply feel them intuitively, that to us, - the majority, unfortunately is not given.
Or the discrepancy law comes into force. Just imagine, if for example the professor of university starts to explain the theory of relativity or the quantum physics to students of elementary school. Nonsense? Absolutely yes! And comparison of the student of elementary school with us, dancers, is not casual at all... And so we suggest you to slightly open a veil of the theory of a musical relativity and to put into dance physics.
We won`t talk with you about your errors in base and the technique – you can talk to judges about it, and here, thanks God, common language is already more or less developed and there is understanding of bases and foundation of dance.
DMS will teach you to not just simply nod on words «groove and rhythm», but to understand what the speech is really about, and how to work with it – to achieve the result. That is, what our generation of dancers really needs, - a clear picture.
While in ХIX a century dancers of ballet, vocalists, artists, actors of theater owned musical literacy, and musicians knew laws of plastics and dance. And today, only dancers of ballet know the musical reading and writing, but unfortunately, only "know", very often they don't know how to apply it. They show the «acrobatic passé» as they taught the body, but if you turn on absolutely another music - absolutely nothing will change. With the modern choreography the situation is quite the same. As a rule, performances are based on techniques, less often - musical mood, but most of all, choreographers think about dramatic art, aggravating with that, already almost invisible communication between music and dance art.
Those who are assured that math cannot take a place in creativity, are deeply mistaken! There is a large quantity of examples, but let`s emphasize the most obvious. Painters have strict laws, for example – "a golden section". For composers, in general, everything is already counted long time ago, all steps are mathematically displayed. it doesn`t mean that they don't put soul in the improvisation, - not at all! They just initially study musical harmony which is accessible on means of rules and laws.History, geography, literature, archeology - the stricts rules are everywhere and they make the art visibal, understandable and universal.
Well and the last, but not the least thing - group of dancers usually need a count, to enter the music in time...
The body should be prepared for what probably will occur in music. The body should become the tool, capable without participation of consciousness to respond to all events of music. Muscles are capable to answer sounds, as tool strings. Having achieved by long special exercises of automatism of reactions of a body, the dancer is released for the problems of higher level connected with emotional and figurative expressiveness. Communication between muscular realization and sincere sensation becomes eventually absolute.
All theory is supported with examples, tests, and tasks on a practical training.
